¡Saludos padres de familia! Esta lista de libros en español para el verano del 2023-2024 se está distribuyendo para que puedan explorar nuestras colecciones de libros en español y bilingües. Algunos libros están escritos en su idioma original y otros están traducidos. Nos gusta tener ambos en Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS.
La lectura es una de las mejores formas de desarrollar el lenguaje naturalmente. En cada hogar y salón necesitan una buena colección de libros para niños en español. Son mucho mejores que las tarjetas didácticas o las hojas de trabajo porque proporcionan un lenguaje en contexto. Nosotros mismos nos perdemos en un buen cuento de libro. Ese estado mental subconsciente es ideal para adquirir el lenguaje.
Leerle a su hijo es una de las cosas más importantes que nosotros como padres podemos hacer. Y si están criando niños bilingües ¡unos buenos libros en español son imprescindibles! Mientras amamos mucho nuestra colección de libros ilustrados en español e inglés, nos encanta encontrar títulos originales en español, escritos por autores hispanohablantes. Como hispanohablantes, que estamos criando niños bilingües, a ambas nos encanta saber que estos libros serán expuestos a nuestras "estrellas brillantes" para esa auténtica voz y cultura.
Aunque muchas traducciones del inglés son excelentes, algunas no tanto. Los libros de imágenes originales suelen tener un toque más lírico y natural. No siempre es fácil encontrar títulos auténticos en español, pero después de investigar mucho, hemos encontrado algunos tesoros. Muchos libros enumerados aquí son bilingües, que primero eran en español, por un autor hispanohablante. Esta lista es solo el principio.

Hello Parents! This 2023-2024 Spanish Language Summer Reading List is being distributed for you to browse our collections of books in Spanish and bilingual books. Some books are originally written in Spanish, and some are translated. We like to have both kinds at Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS.
Reading is one of the best ways to develop language naturally, and every home and classroom needs a good stash of children’s books in Spanish. They are far better than flashcards or worksheets, because they provide language in context. We can lose ourselves in a good story. That subconscious state of mind is ideal for acquiring language.
Reading to your child is one of the most important things we as parents can do. And if you are raising bilingual kids, good books in Spanish are a must! While we dearly love our stash of picture books in Spanish and English, we also love finding original Spanish titles, written by Spanish-speaking authors. As Spanish speakers, who have and are raising bilingual children, we both love knowing that these books will expose our ‘shining stars’ to that authentic voice and culture.
Though many translations from English are excellent, some are not. Authentic picture books tend to have a more lyrical, natural feel to them. It is not always easy to find authentic Spanish titles, but with lots of digging, we have found quite a few treasures. Many books listed here are bilingual, but you’ll see that they were written in Spanish first. This list is just the beginning.
