On Saturday April 26, Shining Stars Montessori PCS will open from 9 am to 12 noon for Enrollment Saturday to accept enrollment paperwork for new and re-enrolling students for the 2025-26 school year.
IMPORTANT: If you applied in the 2025-26 school year lottery and received a match, you have until May 1, 2025 to enroll or you may lose your space. Enrolling at your matched school will not remove you from waitlists.

Join Shining Stars Montessori Academy's Family Market! SSMA has partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank to offer monthly distributions of nutritious groceries to members of the SSMA community free of charge from 3 pm to 5 pm

We are so close to the end, the wait is almost over.
Our new playground will be installed by Kaboom and the Washington Commanders this Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 8:30 a.m
Who: A total of approximately 100 volunteers from Washington Commanders Charitable Foundation, Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School and KABOOM!
Work is available for volunteers of all levels of skill and ability.
**Please note - All volunteers need to be 18 years or old. We will not have youth activities on site**

Capital Area Food Band and SSMA have compiled all of the summer food resources from different organizations for our SSMA community and families this summer. All of these programs are free. As we all know, even though many school food access programs take a break for the summer, families are still in need of support.

The backbone of Shining Stars Montessori Academy Public Charter School students’ success is a team of exceptionally talented and diverse Teachers, Leaders, and Support Team. SSMA’s mission is to offer a quality Montessori education infused with culturally inclusive principles to guide children to develop to their fullest potential. We will love to have you join our team for the 2023 - 2024 School Year.
